Made with scrap leather as a base, topped with pieces of fabric left from older projects, sewn on the upper using 13 different Sashiko stitches.
The heel pieces as well as the eyelets and the tongue were made from scraps of a black cow hide, using both sides, leather and suede to create a mismatched look.
The laces are embellished with another sashiko stitching detail, as well as leather lace tips.
The whole pair was hand stitched using Japanese Sashiko thread.
In a perspective of upcycling, the soles were taken off a slightly worn pair of my own closet
